COSMO FORTE PEEL
A Cosmo Forte Peel is a cosmetic procedure in which a TCA solution is applied on the skin to remove layers of dead skin cells and stimulate new skin growth, even out skin tone and give a smooth and fresh appearance. A Cosmo Forte Peel can be used to treat rough and dry skin, acne, post inflammatory pigmentation, fine lines, sun damage and hormonal pigmentation.
Treatment details
The Cosmo Peel Forte is an advanced TCA peel containing 10% Phenol, 20% TCA (Trichloroacetic acid) & 10% Glycolic acid. The TCA works to coagulate the skin proteins and accelerate skin renewal whilst the Phenol works to reduce the pain sensation that can be induced by the TCA. The addition of Glycolic Acid allows the peel to penetrate deeper and improve the results.
These powerful ingredients work to target acne scarring, pigmented lesions, keratosis lesions and boost collagen production to improve the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin. This combination also reduces the risk of hyperpigmentation.
The result is visibly improved younger looking skin.
During a Cosmo Forte Peel treatment your skin will be thoroughly cleansed to remove any impurities or makeup. The Cosmo Forte Peel is applied to the treatment area using gauze and is then left on the skin for up to 12 hours before being removed with water at home. You may feel a tingling/prickling sensation in the first few minutes after the peel application, this will subside quickly.
As the Cosmo Peel Forte is stronger than other medium depth peels, this is designed as a once-off anti-ageing treatment.
Severely sun damaged skins may require a second treatment four weeks later.
Results from a Cosmo Forte Peel can last for years depending on how well you care for your skin afterwards.
Cosmo Forte peels are recommended for clients aged 35+ with sun damaged skin.
Cosmo Forte Peels are not suitable for clients that have open wounds at treatment site, infections, rosacea, psoriasis or dermatitis in the area to be treated. Cosmo Forte Peels are not suitable to have while breastfeeding and nursing.
Olive and darker skin clients are required to prep their skin on our recommended tyrosinase inhibiting serum for 2 weeks prior to having a peel performed.
Cosmo Peel Forte $450
Immediately following a Cosmo Forte Peel treatment your skin will be lightly flushed. We recommend that you do not wet or apply makeup on the skin for 12 hours post treatment. You may experience mild to severe skin shedding from day 2-14. We advise that you do not prematurely pick or exfoliate the peeling skin as this may cause scarring or post inflammatory pigmentation. Once the skin peeling is complete you will see a dramatic improvement in your skin’s complexion. Over the next four to six weeks the skin’s appearance will be enhanced further. The skin will look more vibrant, clearer, firmer, and healthier.
