WHAT IS MORPHEUS8?
Morpheus8 is a non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure which uses a combination of micro needling and radiofrequency to target the deeper dermis and improve the appearance of the skin as well as contour the face and body via fat remodelling.
Our Morpheus8 treatment on the Gold Coast involves the delivery of precise radio frequency energy deep into the dermal layer of the skin.
The transmitted radiofrequency energy induces stimulation of dormant fibroblasts leading to new collagen and elastin production, which are the fundamental building blocks of smoother and firmer skin.
Treatment results continue to improve over time as the collagen is remodelled in the dermal layer and can lead to both a lifting and plumping effect.
Morpheus8 is indicated for treatment of fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, pore size reduction, overall skin concerns, face and body remodelling in areas such as the abdomen, thighs, arms and buttocks.
WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT INVOLVE?
During your appointment, your skin is cleansed and topical anaesthetic is applied and left on the skin for 30minutes.
The Morpheus8 device uses an array of small needles to penetrate the skin to create controlled micro-injuries. This process stimulates the body’s natural healing response, which includes the production of collagen, an essential protein for skin elasticity and firmness.
While the needles are in the skin, Morpheus8 delivers radiofrequency energy to the deeper layers. This energy heats the underlying tissues, further stimulating collagen production and tightening the skin.
The needle depth and radiofrequency is adjusted depending on the concern being treated. Treatment takes approximately 20 minutes per area. Immediately after the treatment, you will notice a bright redness to the treatment area. On average, patients are red for 12-24 hours. Micro-crusting and mild shedding may occur 1-3 days post-treatment.
Treatment details
Clients will see an improvement after each treatment however we recommend 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
Like all rejuvenation treatments, you do need to maintain some amount of upkeep. Your new collagen will continue to improve over 6-12 months and results can last up to 5 years. It is recommended that you do a top-up treatment 1-4 times a year to maintain your results and further stimulate collagen development.
Morpehus8 can be safely performed on all skin types (fair to darker) and is even suitable for sensitive or thin-skinned clients.
Morpheus8 is not suitable for those who have been on Roaccutane in the last 6 months, have cystic acne, open wounds, infections, psoriasis or dermatitis in the area to be treated, have an active electrical implant/device (pacemaker or internal defibrillator) in any region of the body, superficial metal or other implants in the treatment area, fillers in the treatment area in the last 6 months, have uncontrolled diabetes, are pregnant or breastfeeding or who are prone to keloid scarring or other abnormal wound healing. Smokers should be aware that smoking compromises the body’s ability to grow new collagen.
We recommend that olive and darker skinned clients prep their skin prior to treatment using our recommended tyrosinase inhibiting serum for 2 weeks prior to having a Morpheus8 treatment performed.

A feeling of tightness is experienced and a "sunburnt" look is usually apparent immediately after treatment, a mild swelling may also occur subsiding over the next 24 hours.
