Laser genesis is a non-invasive and comfortable procedure that uses a laser to gently heat the dermis directly under the skin. This stimulates collagen production, which plumps the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The heat from the laser can also constrict blood vessels, which helps fight redness and rosacea. It can also help treat acne and scarring.
Treatment details
Laser Genesis is emitted from a small handpiece that is hooked up to a larger machine. Your technician will apply goggles for the duration of the procedure to protect your eyes from the laser lights. The procedure itself is completely painless, and will feel like heat on the face.
Clients will see an improvement after each treatment however results are subtle. We recommend 4-6 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. Every clients condition and needs vary; your therapist will discuss this at your consultation.
Like all rejuvenation treatments, you do need to maintain some amount of upkeep. Your new collagen will continue to improve over 6-12 months and results can last for years. It is recommended that you do top-up treatments 1-4 times a year to maintain your results and further stimulate collagen development.
Laser Genesis can be safely performed on all skin types (fair to darker) and is even suitable for sensitive or thin-skinned clients. Laser Genesis is not suitable to have during pregnancy. We may treat breastfeeding clients with doctor's clearance. Smokers should be aware that smoking compromises the body’s ability to grow new collagen.

The skin must be free from spray tan or tanning creams. Recovery from laser genesis is minimal, and you should be able to resume normal activities immediately. We advise that you use only gentle products for the days following your procedure and apply sunscreen regularly.
