HYDRA GENESIS
Hydra Genesis is a treatment that combines our Signature Hydrafacial with our Laser Genesis treatment.
Laser genesis is a non-invasive and comfortable procedure that uses a laser to gently heat the dermis directly under the skin. This stimulates collagen production, which plumps the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The heat from the laser can also constrict blood vessels, which helps fight redness and rosacea. It can also help treat acne and scarring.
HydraFacial is a medical grade skin resurfacing treatment. It combines a deep clean and exfoliation, extractions and an antioxidant infusion for cleaner, clearer, more hydrated skin. HydraFacial effectively and painlessly removes blackheads and whiteheads to improve acne-prone, oily, or congested skins. It also removes dead surface cells and provides intense hydration for ageing, dull or dehydrated skins.
Treatment details
The treatment begins with Laser Genesis. Laser Genesis is emitted from a small hand-piece that is hooked up to a larger machine. Your technician will apply goggles for the duration of the procedure to protect your eyes from the laser lights. The procedure itself is completely painless, and will feel like heat on the face.
The HydraFacial is then performed using a suction hand-piece. The HydraFacial treatment starts with a deep cleanse and exfoliation to remove dead skin cells which includes Salicylic and Glycolic acid to break up any dirt and oil clogging pores. This is followed by a painless vacuum extraction of blackheads, whiteheads, dirt, oil, impurities and the final step offers rehydration where hyaluronic, peptides and antioxidants are infused back into the skin.
After your Hydra Genesis treatment your skin will be noticeably cleaner, softer, plump and glowing after just one treatment. Hydra-Genesis treatments are amazing right before a special event or night out to give the skin a hydrated, smooth healthy glow. We recommend 4-6 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. Every clients condition and needs vary; your therapist will discuss this at your consultation.
Results from your Hydra Genesis treatment will last several months but may last longer depending on how well you take care of your skin after treatment. Having regular ongoing HydraFacial's will stimulate the body to produce new layers of skin containing higher levels of elastin and collagen. This, in turn, improves the complexion and gives the skin a more radiant, vibrant glow year round.
Like all rejuvenation treatments, you do need to maintain some amount of upkeep. Your new collagen will continue to improve over 6-12 months and results can last for years. It is recommended that you do top-up treatments 1-4 times a year to maintain your results and further stimulate collagen development.
Hydra Genesis can be safely performed on all skin types (fair to darker skins) and is even suitable for sensitive or thin-skinned clients. Unfortunately Laser Genesis is not suitable to have during pregnancy, and some of the ingredients in the HydraFacial are not safe to have while pregnant or breastfeeding, however, we can customise a breastfeeding safe version upon request, please let us know when making your booking. HydraFacial is not suitable for those who have been on Roaccutane in the last 6 months, have cystic acne, open wounds, infections, severe rosacea, psoriasis or dermatitis in the area to be treated or those with a known shellfish or Aspirin allergy.

The skin must be free from spray tan or tanning creams. Avoid the use of exfoliating scrubs, and active products including Vitamin A, Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA’s) and Beta-Hydroxy Acids (BHA’s) for 5-7days after your treatment. Avoid direct sun exposure for 2 weeks after your treatment and apply Daily SPF30+. Make-up can be used as desired however we recommend keeping the skin makeup free for at least 24hrs post treatment. You may experience slight redness or flushing for up to two hours following the treatment.
