CO2 LASER GOLD COAST

The CO2 Laser Treatment is performed in-clinic by one of our laser technicians. The skin is cleansed and a topical numbing cream applied for 45min to ensure comfort during the procedure. Protective eyewear will be provided, and the laser hand piece is then passed across the skin, delivering controlled energy to stimulate skin rejuvenation. 

The CO2 Cool Peel treatment typically takes around 20-30 minutes for the face. Please allow at least 2 hours for your total appointment, including preparation, numbing time, treatment and post-treatment care.

CO2 DOT Therapy time will vary depending on the area being treated but typically takes around 30–45 minutes for the face and delivers controlled fractional laser energy to the deeper layers of the skin. Please allow a minimum of 2 hours and 15 minutes for your total appointment, including preparation, numbing time, treatment and post-treatment care.

After treatment, the skin will feel warm and appear red. We will apply a calming mask to help cool and soothe the skin for 10 minutes before you leave.

This allows our experienced Laser Technicians to assess your skin, discuss your concerns and goals, determine your suitability for treatment, and recommend the most appropriate CO2 option for your skin.

CO2 CoolPeel™ is ideal for clients seeking mild to moderate skin rejuvenation with minimal downtime. It is best suited for concerns such as fine lines, enlarged pores, mild pigmentation, skin texture, and overall skin refreshment.

CO2 DOT Therapy is a more intensive resurfacing treatment designed for clients with more advanced signs of skin ageing and damage. It is particularly effective for deeper wrinkles, significant sun damage, acne scarring, skin laxity, and clients seeking more dramatic skin rejuvenation results.

The number of CO2 Cool Peel treatments required will depend on your individual skin concerns and desired outcomes. Many clients benefit from a course of 4 treatments spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart, although some may notice improvement after a single session. Your technician will recommend a personalised treatment plan during your consultation.

CO2 DOT THERAPY

The number of CO2 Dot Therapy treatments required will depend on the severity of the concern being treated and your desired results. Many clients achieve significant improvement with 1–3 treatments, spaced approximately 4–8 weeks apart depending on the strength of the treatments. Your technician will assess your skin and recommend a personalised treatment plan during your consultation.

CO2 COOL PEEL

Results develop gradually as collagen production increases over time. Improvements in skin texture and tone can continue for 6 months following treatment. Results can last 12 months or longer, depending on your skin condition, lifestyle and skincare routine. Maintenance treatments may be recommended to help preserve results.

CO2 DOT THERAPY

Results develop gradually as new collagen is produced and the skin continues to remodel. Improvements in skin texture, firmness and overall quality can continue for 6 months following treatment. Results can last up to 5 years, depending on factors such as skin condition, age, lifestyle and sun exposure. Maintenance treatments may be recommended to help preserve results and maintain long-term skin health.

CO2 COOL PEEL

CoolPeel™ is suitable for individuals looking to improve overall skin quality, including concerns such as fine lines, sun damage, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone and texture. It is generally suitable for most skin types and for those seeking skin rejuvenation with minimal downtime. CoolPeel is not suitable for individuals who are pregnant, have active skin infections or open wounds at the treatment site or medical conditions affecting healing. Recent Accutane use is also a contraindication for treatment. CO2 CoolPeel can be safely performed on Skin Fitzpatrick 1-6, however a Fitzpatrick 4-6 must prep with a tyrosinase inhibitor for 2 weeks pre-treatment and throughout treatment plan duration.

CO2 COOL PEEL

After treatment, the skin may feel warm and appear red, similar to a mild sunburn. This typically settles within 24 hours. Keep the skin clean, hydrated and protected with a gentle moisturiser. Avoid active skincare products for several days after treatment or until advised. Avoid excessive heat, exercise, saunas and swimming for 24–48 hours. Daily use of a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen is essential to protect the skin and maintain results. Makeup may be worn 24 hours post treatment.

CO2 DOT THERAPY

Following DOT CO₂ laser treatment, redness, swelling and a warm sensation are expected. The skin may appear pink or red for up to 7 days and may feel tight as it begins the healing process. Over the following days, the skin will typically form small micro-crusts and begin to peel as new skin regenerates. It is important to keep the skin clean, well hydrated and protected with a gentle moisturiser. Avoid active skincare products, excessive heat, exercise, saunas for 7 days. Strict sun protection with SPF 50+ is essential during the healing phase to prevent complications and protect the newly treated skin. Mineral makeup may be worn 24 hours post treatment but it is best to avoid chemical based makeup for up to 7 days while the skin heals.

To further enhance healing and results, CO2 Laser treatments can be combined with advanced regenerative therapies including PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), Exomide Exosomes, and Biopelle Growth Factors. These treatments may help support the skin's natural repair processes, reduce downtime, and optimise overall skin rejuvenation outcomes.

While LED therapy is highly beneficial following CO2 treatments, it cannot be performed on the same day as your laser treatment. We recommend scheduling a Healite LED treatment 48 hours after CO2 CoolPeel™ or 72 hours after CO2 DOT Therapy to help support healing, reduce inflammation, and enhance recovery.
